Dead Theologians Society General Information
We are very excited to be a Chapter of the Dead Theologians Society (DTS). The Dead Theologians Society is for youth in high school (grades 9-12). Their motto is Mortuum Mundo Vivum In Christo – Dead to the World Alive in Christ. It is a saint-based program designed to remind the youth that it is possible to follow Christ and reach our goal of heaven, even in a world where things seem to be going so crazy.
Not only will the youth hear a talk on a specific saint at each meeting, but they will also pray for the souls in purgatory, which is the main charism of the Dead Theologians Society. Praying for the souls in purgatory helps our brothers and sisters in Christ who are experiencing the final stages of purification get closer to reaching their goal of eternal life with God in heaven. In turn, we can ask the souls in purgatory to pray for us as we continue our journey here on earth.
